By placing an order with us, you agree to these Terms and Conditions and confirm that you have read our Privacy Policy regarding how we handle your personal data.

2. Orders and Formation of Contract

These terms apply when you shop with us as a private individual (consumer). By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these terms and confirm you are purchasing for personal, non-commercial purposes, that you are at least 18 years old, and that you have full legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

When you complete the checkout process and confirm your order, you are placing a binding order for the items in your cart. A binding contract is formed once we have received full payment. We will send you an order confirmation by email, which serves as your receipt and evidence of our acceptance of the order.

Creating a customer account lets you view your order history, save favourites, and manage returns.

3. Prices and Payment

Prices shown at the time of your order apply to your purchase and are quoted in euros (EUR), inclusive of applicable VAT. Ownership of the goods remains with Kelimshop until full payment has been received. Shipping costs, where applicable, are shown separately before you complete your order.

We make every effort to keep prices and product information accurate. However, we reserve the right to correct typographical or technical errors, and we are not bound to honour a price that was clearly mistaken. If an incorrect price is found for an item you've ordered, we will contact you before processing that order at the corrected price.

At checkout, you may pay using the methods offered at that time, which may include Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JCB, UnionPay, WeChat Pay, PayPal, and Klarna. Not all payment methods may be available for every order. Where you pay via a third-party provider such as PayPal or Klarna, that transaction is also subject to that provider's own terms, and Kelimshop is not a party to that separate agreement.

4. Delivery

We aim to dispatch and deliver your order within a reasonable time from receipt of full payment, and any estimated delivery times shown at checkout are indicative rather than guaranteed. We only commit to delivering items that are in stock; if an item becomes unavailable after your order, we will notify you and refund any payment made without undue delay.

Risk in the goods passes to you (or a third party you have designated, other than the carrier) once delivery has been made to the address provided at checkout. If your order includes multiple items, partial deliveries may occur. For home delivery, you are responsible for being available to receive the goods; repeated failed delivery attempts or refusal of delivery may result in a reasonable charge to cover our administrative and return shipping costs.

5. Right of Withdrawal (14-Day Cooling-Off Period)

As a consumer shopping from within the EU, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase without giving a reason within 14 days of receiving your goods, in line with EU consumer protection law.

To exercise this right, notify us clearly before the 14-day period expires, by email at kelimshop@gmail.com, by phone at +31 6 14545999, or by post to our business address in Section 1. You do not need to use a specific form, but a clear statement such as "I wish to withdraw from my purchase of [item], ordered on [date], received on [date]" is sufficient.

If you withdraw, you must return the goods without undue delay and within 14 days of notifying us. We will reimburse all payments received from you, including standard delivery costs, without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we receive your withdrawal notice, though we may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or evidence that they have been returned. Return shipping costs are your responsibility unless the goods are faulty or not as described. Refunds are made using the same payment method you used to pay, unless otherwise agreed.

You may examine the product as you reasonably would in a shop, but you are liable for any reduction in value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature and condition of the goods.

The right of withdrawal does not apply to custom-made or made-to-order rugs.

6. Returns and Refunds

Beyond your statutory right of withdrawal above, please see our Returns & Refunds Policy for the practical steps to arrange a return, including how to package your rug and where to send it.

A full refund is conditional on the goods being returned unused, undamaged, and in their original (or equally protective) packaging. If a returned item does not meet this condition, we reserve the right to decline the return, in which case the item will be sent back to you at your cost.

7. Statutory Warranty and Defects

We are legally obligated to deliver goods matching the quality and description shown at the time of purchase. If a product is defective, please contact us with details and photos of the issue as soon as reasonably possible.

Warranty rights do not cover damage from misuse, accidents, or normal wear and tear. Because our rugs are handmade, minor natural variations in colour, pattern, or weave are expected and are not considered defects. For vintage, semi-antique, or antique rugs, signs of age and prior use that are consistent with the item's description are not defects.

8. Damage During Transit

We are responsible for the goods, and bear the risk of loss or damage, until they are delivered to you. If you subsequently return or ship goods back to us, you bear the risk during that return transit.

9. Promotional Offers and Discount Codes

From time to time we may run promotions, discount codes, or combination offers. These are valid only for the stated period, generally cannot be combined with other offers, and may exclude certain products or require a minimum order value. Promotional value is not refunded if a related order is cancelled or partially returned, though amounts actually paid for returned goods will still be refunded.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including product photography, text, logos, and design, is the property of Kelimshop / Zargar Rugs or our licensors. You may not reproduce, copy, or reuse this content for any purpose beyond your own private, non-commercial use without our prior written permission.

11. General Provisions

If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply in full force. Section headings are included for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.

By placing an order or otherwise communicating with us electronically, you consent to receiving order confirmations, notices, and other communications from us electronically.

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. The current version is always available on this page, and continued use of our website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. If we're unable to resolve a dispute directly, you may bring proceedings before the competent Dutch court, or submit the matter to the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
