The Afghan Oriental wool carpet Handmade Kelim Rug open field design features a vertical column of large diamond medallions, each outlined in soft sage green with serrated zigzag edges, enclosing smaller hourglass and eye motifs in golden yellow, burnt orange, coral red, teal, and lavender. Delicate bird and animal inspired hook figures are scattered between the medallions, a traditional Afghan motif symbolising protection and good fortune.
