Authentic Afghan Hand-Knotted Super Kazak Rug

Three navy medallions run down the center of this Super Kazak Rug, each one flanked by white pillar-like motifs and stacked X patterns, sitting against a saturated red field. Teal star medallions anchor the corners, while smaller diamond motifs fill the space between, giving the whole piece a strong sense of order and repetition. A wide zigzag border in navy, rust, and cream wraps the entire rug, echoed by a second, tighter border just inside it.

This particular medallion arrangement, three evenly spaced centerpieces down the field, is one of the more recognizable Kazak layouts, tracing back to weaving traditions from the Caucasus that later spread into Afghan production. Every knot in this piece was tied by hand through Kelim Shop's own workshops in Afghanistan, where we work directly with our weavers rather than through outside trading houses.
