This Hand-Knotted Afghan Super Kazak Wool Rug arranges rows of octagonal medallions across a steel blue field, each one framed in red or cream and filled with its own star or floral motif. Smaller scroll accents fill the gaps between, keeping the layout balanced and orderly rather than dense.
Every medallion was hand-knotted through Kelim Shop's own production in Afghanistan, working directly with our weavers rather than outside traders. That direct process keeps a rug this evenly detailed fairly priced.
The steel blue ground gives the rug a cooler, more modern read than typical red-field Kazak designs, while the grid of medallions keeps the traditional structure intact.
