Handmade Afghan Farhan Ziegler Rug

This Farhan Ziegler takes a more architectural, symmetrical approach than an all-over floral repeat, a central scalloped medallion in rust and camel anchors the ivory field, with a smaller matching rosette echoing above and below it along the vertical axis. Four rust red cartouche medallions sit in a mirrored formation around the center, each one paired with a diamond-shaped pendant motif nearby, so the whole layout reads as a deliberate, formal composition rather than a loose scattered field. Fine floral sprigs and small blossoms fill in the remaining space, keeping the ivory ground from feeling too bare. A matching ivory border, patterned with leaf and rosette motifs, frames the piece.
