Handmade Afghan Persian Motive Medallion Rug

This piece is built around a single commanding medallion rather than an all-over repeat, a large navy octagon with sharp, jagged serrated edges dominates the center of the brick red field, flanked by smaller stepped diamond pendants above and below in the same navy and rose tones. The geometric, angular quality of the medallion gives it a strong tribal presence, closer to Caucasian Kazak design language than a softer Persian floral.
