This set of two handwoven kilim cushion cover is built around one of the most compelling design ideas in artisan weaving, the split panel. Rather than repeating a single pattern across the entire surface, the cover brings together two entirely different weave sections side by side, each with its own colour story and texture, creating a composition that is far more interesting than a conventional design could ever be.

Cover Two takes the same two-panel idea and rearranges it with a different emphasis. The main body of this cover is dominated entirely by bold wide vertical stripes, warm cream, near-black, soft sky blue, deep crimson red, burnt orange, lime yellow-green, teal and another near-black band moving across the surface in a full-spectrum sequence. The palette here feels slightly more balanced between warm and cool tones, the cream and sky blue providing open breathing space between the more intense reds, oranges and blacks. At the base, a wide horizontal band of dense fine stripes in teal, sky blue, burgundy, fuchsia, purple, amber and multicolour runs the full width of the cover, grounding the bold vertical stripes above with a burst of vivid fine-woven colour that echoes the upper fine stripe band of Cover One.
